Whitman and Dickinson assignment

Now that you have read some background information on Emily Dickinson and Walt Whitman, as well as read some of their poetry take a moment to write some of the differences you learned between the two of them. Did they live their lives in the same way? Who was their audience? Were they well known while they were alive?
