First the stories were alike because they both had the bad boy in the story.
When the bad boy teased the good boy. I don’t talk to any classmates except for practice so I wouldn’t know what they think.

Don't know if i logged in right so this is will wade

Their connected by the same author Mark Twain. They also have nice mothers they don’t abuse them. Irony plays a big role in both the stories. It starts out by having the bad boy live in the end of the story. The good boy dies in it and that’s ironic. Will, I have no idea what you mean!!

The stories are very similar because they are different. The good little boy does good things and the bad little boy does bad things but, good things happen to the bad litle boy and bad things happen to the good boy. The bad little boy is in the good little boys story. These stories are very ironic because you would expect in the end that good things would happen to the good boy and bad things would happen to the bad kid. But things never went well for the good kid and bad things never happened to the bad kid.

the story both have irony every thing bad happens to the good boy and all the good happens to the bad its looks like i should be a bad boy

Their connected by each boy has a mother that doesn't abuse them. Irony is a big thing in these stories. The good boy gets screwed for his actions and the bad boy lives.

The stories were similar because each of them included a boy and what the boy's life was like. In both stories the bad boy was included. Irony plays a big role in both stories because the bad boy commited sins the whole time and doesn't die on the boat. The good boy does good deeds the whole time and then dies at the end. This is ironic because you would think the good kid would live or at least be treated the same for his good deeds. I would pretty much agree with what drury said.

the connection is that the two boys were opposites but they still were in the same town with the same type settings and rules. And the bad boy feel on the good boy and broke his arm. The irnoy was that in the end the bad boy was the one that ended up with a good life and the good boy was the one that always had something go wrong and hes the one that ended up dying. i agree with thomas.

The two stories the Bad Little Boy and the Good Little Boy connected because the author was relating them to Sunday school books. Also in the Good Little Boy story, Twain wrote about what the bad boy did to affect the good boy. For example when the bad boy fell from the apple tree and broke the good boys arm. Irony plays into the stories because you think the good boy would have a good life and deserve to live and that the bad boy would get punished and end up dieing at the end. It is completely what you don’t expect to happen. I see things different then other people. I agree with some of my classmates but not all.

1.They both have sad ending and they both mention Sunday-school books.

2.I have no idea

these two stories are oviously both by mark twain and the fact that they both have a nonabusive mother.there ironic because the nice guy finishes last and the bad person is on a roll. everything bad happends to the good boy and everything good happens to the bad kid...kinda tells you to be bad if you wanna do good and get things in life

Unknown said...

They are simmilar because mark twain wroke them both so they have the same storyline. The only differene is that one is a good boy and the other is a bad boy. They both mention life stories, and outcomes and such.

These stories the bad little boy, and the good little boy are connected because the author is relating them to sunday school books. The stories have irony because the bad little boy does bad things and good things happen to him and the good little boy does good things and bad things happen to him and in the end you expect bad things to happen bad boy and good things to happen to the good boy. but the oppisite happens. Its not what you would expect to happen.

Unknown said...

they were both alike because mark twain wrote them. they were about 2 different boys. a good boy and a bad boy. the irony is the bad boy was rich and wealthy but the good boy is dead. all the 1st hour comments are the best because 1st hour is the best!

The two stories are alike, because they both have ironic outcomes. They are also related because they both of the kids in the stories are both trying to do a specific thing. And it is ironic because Jim spends his entire like doing bad things and he never receives any punishment, or is ever caught. And then Jacob spent his entire life doing good deeds, and he receives the ultimate punishment for it... Death.

The stories were connected because In the bad little boy, the opposite Thing happened then was suppose to, the bad little boy was respected and successful in life. In the good little boy the opposite thing happened to him also, rather then what happened in the Sunday school books. The boy still died in the end but he will never be in a Sunday school book. Also In "The Good Little Boy" an event happened that also happened in "The Bad Little Boy." A boy named Jim (Bad little boy) was climbing an apple tree and steeling apples, but nothing bad ever resulted from his actions. Jacob (Good boy) went to tell Jim about the bad boys that fell out of the apple trees and broke their arms, but when Jim fell out of the apple tree he fell on Jacob and broke Jacobs arm.
It is Ironic how the opposite of what should have happened resulted from the actions of these two boys.

I think what Lenox stated was very well put.

I can state the obvious and say they were both by Mark Twain, even though it's stupid to say. Also both were quite the oppisite of what i expected when i read the title, i guess thats the deffinition of irony. Both stories were also comic. Howerver, both were rather ironic, the dick kid got everything and lived a good life. And the dude who tried to live life by helping others got his life messed over for it, he even tried to help the dick kid.

I think Lenox had a good post, I and like her, I agree with what some of the people, but everyone needs to reread the story if the only slimilarity between them the know of is that they are both by Mark Twain

the stories are alike in that they are both by MT (duh) and they both have the same type of events.
Irony fits in because the opposite of what you expect to happen, happens. The good boy dies being good, and the bad boy lives gets rich and becomes, even more ironicaly, a politician.

Well first of all these two stories are by the same author mark twain. They both had a bad boy in the story. The irony of it all was that in the good boy story he does good things but ends up dying.

Unknown said...

tj drury you da bomb! you summed it up :)

Unknown said...

both stories are written by mark twain so i guess that's a similarity.
and they're also similar because of how ironic they both are.
you would think if the boys did bad things, they would have something bad happen to them.
and good boys having good things.
but that's not how it turned out.

Unknown said...

the stories are connect in a few different ways. first they are written by the same author. another one is that both stories talk about the bad and good boys in both stories. irony is huge in these stories. everything bad happens to the good boy and everything bad that is said to happen to the bad boy does not happen to him.

i agree with tyler

They were alike because they both had a boy as the main character also they were both written by Mark Twain. It is ironic that the bad boy lives a good life (except that he kills his family) and the good boy dies. So the ironci thing is that the begining if their life started out opposite of what their life really turned out to be

Both had a bad boy and a good boy. The bad boy cheated his way to the top and got respect. The good boy died and was never noticed.

The two stories are connected in that they are by the same author, Mark Twain. The settings are the same, and the boys are connected. It's ironic how for the bad boy, good things and luck always come his way, and he ends up with the comfortable life. The good boy always has the bad luck, and ends up dead in the end.

What Matt said.

These two stories are related in the fact that they are both written by Mark Twain and that they both involve the bad little boy coming out on top. Irony plays into both of these stories in the way that the normal story would have the bad boy getting in trouble killed or punished in some manner which in these stories isn't the case. I think everyone has the right idea.

The two stories were very ironic (thats why you made us look up that word). i thought it was funny that the bad boy got everything and the good boy died and failed at life. i was talking to some class mates and some thought that the stories were weird/felt bad for the good boy becuase his life sucked so much

the stories were alike because they were exact opposites of eachother. its ironic cuz everything thats not supposed to happen to them does.
tyler stalica and i have the same first name, so were connected like the stories.

thats kinda neat.

i think the stories were alike because they both had the bad boys
so i didnt like the story a all and the end was funney

they both show irony in each of the little boys lifes. in the end of the bad little bos life he was remembered and liked by many but when the good little boy died he did not prosper.

Laura Mc said...

Both stories have a little boy in it and both of the little boys behave in certain ways. The irony in the first story is that the bad little boy does all this dangerous stuff and doesn’t get hurt, but the good little boy does everything right but some how gets hurt or blamed for something he didn’t do. I agree with Lenox on how the stories compare.

irony was screaming out to me loud and clear as i was reading the story of a bad boy and a good boy.

people expect good boys to live a happy life and bad boys to recieve the punishment all the time, that is the "law" of human life, or in other words, irony.

these boys are somewhat connected because each boy continues on with his life, expecting the events that should supposed to be happening to them.
